Brilliant hotel. Very modern. Very clean. Great staff. Only few drawbacks - the 24 hour shop - the Pavilion Pantry - was a fridge - not that well stocked. Would have been nice to have had the minibar in our room stocked but it was empty. Dinner in the restaurant at night - lovely but very expensive for what we ate. Still a great hotel though. Perfect for SECC. 2 minute walk.

Went round in circles searching for the Mint Hotel only to discover the name had been changed to the Hilton Garden. How on earth were we supposed to know that ? No info. Can't comment on staff because really you don't have much contact. A clean quiet hotel, perfect for an overnight stay. Good choice for a night if you are going to the Exhibition Centre.

Reception staff poor, low on customer friendliness, seem too busy to welcome and smile, we felt in the way. Food not brilliant, a few years ago it was much better. Rooms just right, but air conditioning noisy. We go to visit the SECC and always stay at this hotel as it is close enough to have a short walk.

They were not well prepared in the restaurant monday morning with a large influx of guests for breakfast due to the trade fair at the SECC.
It took 50 minutes to complete only by constant chasing of the staff. Not their fault

We booked this hotel as it was right beside the SECC and we were going to a show. The room was very clean and comfortable, but unfortunately we came unstuck when we tried to order food. The restaurant is way too small for the hotel, and they also take people off the street into the restaurant. This meant that we were unable to get any food or drink AT ALL! We tried to eat at about 6pm and were told there was no availability until after 9pm, by which time we would be in the SECC. We then tried to order room service and were told they were too busy and food would be at least another 90 minutes. Returning to the hotel after the show at the SECC we couldn't get into the bar, as the queue was way out into the reception area. I mentioned this to a staff member who was very polite and said she's pass on my comments, and said she thinks on nights when the hotel is full, they should give priority to guests and not take people from the street into the bar and restaurant, but this was small comfort to us. We had nothing to eat from lunchtime when we began our journey to Glasgow, until breakfast the following morning. On the plus side, breakfast was very good with a good varied choice. Whilst the room was very comfortable, I wouldn't stay there again, simply for the reason that it is impossible to get food when the hotel is busy!
Top Tip
There was a very nice looking Chinese/Thai/Japanese restaurant across the road from the hotel - unfortunately they were fully booked, and had we known they existed before our arrival, we would have tried to book a table there.
